They may not have spoken to anyone else all day, and a simple hello and some small talk could help to lift their spirits. You could also connect the person to local services by sending an alert through StreetLink.
Make a donation to provide direct services where they are needed the most
Donating to Derventio is a powerful way to support people who are homeless or facing challenges in their life. Your money will provide direct support and services so that people can make positive changes.
Give useful items for someone who has few belongings of their own
We work with people who have come upon difficult times and are struggling to get by. Everyday items such as toiletries and non-perishable food are extremely useful and mean a lot to the people who are living in supported housing.

If you want more, national organisations Crisis, Shelter and Centrepoint are great for news and research. They also regularly run campaigns calling for changes that will help to end homelessness.
Run your own fundraising activity
Running your own fundraising activity is a fun and rewarding way to raise money for Derventio. You can set up your own page at localgiving.org/Derventio. There are countless ways to fundraise. It could involve anything from organising an office sweepstake to going on a sponsored bike ride.
Lease your property to provide supported housing
Supported housing is one of our key services and we are always on the lookout for suitable homes. If you are a property owner with residential properties we might be able to work together. You will be helping local people who are struggling to find a home while receiving a high quality property management service – a win-win situation.
