Residents give supported housing a thumbs up
People responding to Derventio’s latest satisfaction survey have given the service a resounding thumbs up, with 95% of respondents saying that they would recommend Derventio to others:
If I knew of anyone who needed help in this way then I would definitely be really happy to recommend Derventio.
Since 2012 we have sent an annual satisfaction survey to give all the people living in our supported housing the chance to tell us what they think about all aspects of the service, from their home to staff – and more recently, how they have been supported during the pandemic.
This year 166 people responded. Some of the key results include:
- 96% feel safe in their home
- 97% agree that they are treated fairly
- 94% feel that they are gaining the skills they need to avoid homelessness in the future
- 80% feel that Derventio kept them informed about we are doing in response to the pandemic
The results also gave us an insight into how people have been impacted by Covid-19. 71% of respondents said that they have been affected in various ways, including loneliness, boredom, increased anxiety and lack of sleep.
We had some fabulous feedback (see below for a selection of comments), as well as some suggestions and criticism. All of the results will be analysed by senior management and a report will be shared with residents about the changes and improvements we are making based on what they said.

Its nice and lovely house, I enjoy my room/ensuite and also the communal space we share.
I find Derventio staff to be thoughtful and considerate, patient kind and understanding, they listen to what you have to say and offer lots of practical help too. It is very reassuring to see them and talk about things.
