How your Empowerment Fund donations are making a difference

Over Christmas we asked you to donate to our 12 Days of Christmas Appeal to raise money to help people make a positive start in 2021. So far more than £1,300 of your donations have gone directly to people who need it.

The Empowerment Fund is a lifeline that pays for everyday objects that can make a huge difference to the lives of Derventio’s residents, whether they are household utensils or furnishings, a passport or a pair of shoes, or even items for a hobby or sport.

Your donations have bought a range of items so far, including cooking equipment, white goods and cutlery – all to help people get the best possible start in their new home.
