Growing Lives
Growing Lives provides learning and support specially designed to draw out new skills and new confidence in people. We don’t believe that real change can come from forced learning, but we do think helping discover a new talent is a great way to encourage a different outlook on life.
When you’ve been out of work for some time, it’s easy to forget what you have to offer. Growing Lives is designed to awaken an interest, a passion, a confidence and maybe even a new career. There are plenty of learning activities for people to get involved in, including a bike club, computer suite, art, crafts, cooking and gardening.
See some of the activities in action and find out what people think of Growing Lives in this video.
The benefits include:
- New practical skills and knowledge
- Better physical and mental health
- One to one mentoring and support
- More confidence
- New friends and new opportunities
The ultimate goal of Growing Lives is to support people to build the skills and tools they need to make long-term changes to their lives, so they can set and pursue their own personal goals and reach their potential.
