Staff member shortlisted for ERSA Employability Awards

We’re thrilled that our Head of Employability Services, Julie Howells has been shortlisted for Frontline Manager of the Year in this year’s ERSA Employability Awards 2021!

She’s been recognised for her exceptional work leading a team and supporting people into employment during a challenging year.

As Head of Employability Services, Julie has been instrumental in setting up and delivering Derventio’s employability contracts from scratch. Thanks to her exceptional management, organisational skills, compassion and commitment, these services have continually met their targets. Julie leads by example, embraces a customer-centred ethos and truly values her team. She is a true asset to our organisation and to the wider employability sector.

Now in their ninth year, the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) Employability Awards celebrate best practice across the employment support sector. From stand-out frontline staff, job seeking achievements and exemplary employers; to teams and communities pulling together in the most extraordinary of times, in 2021 they epitomise the very best of rising to ‘The Covid Employability Challenge’.

This year the awards, supported by lead sponsors Cognisoft and Clarion Futures, received over 200 entries from across the UK. The winners will be announced during a hybrid networking event with live stream and viewing parties around the UK on Thursday 25 November.

Congratulations to all the other finalists, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for 25 November!
