Norbury pupils spread Easter joy with egg donation to supported housing residents

Pupils and staff at Norbury C of E Primary School have shown the true spirit of giving this Easter by donating an incredible 95 Easter eggs to people living in Derventio’s supported housing.

All 73 pupils at the school took part in the initiative, coming together to collect the eggs as a thoughtful gesture for individuals facing homelessness and other challenges. The colourful treats will be shared with people living in Derventio’s supported housing, along with extra Easter treats that have been donated from others in the community – including from individual donors and companies including Blue Arrow and NFU Mutual.

These generous donations will bring smiles and a sense of celebration to residents over the Easter weekend. Thank you!

Many residents are starting again after losing their homes, livelihoods, or support networks, and struggle with trauma, poor health, and financial hardship.

While others celebrate with family and friends, for residents in our supported housing small treats like Easter eggs and chocolate are often out of reach. This year thanks to the generosity of our individual donors and patrons we were able to change that.
