New defibrillator installed at Derby office to help save lives

A new public-access defibrillator has been installed outside the Derventio’s Derby office thanks to support from the British Heart Foundation (BHF). The life-saving device is available 24/7 and could make all the difference in a cardiac emergency, where every second counts.

Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, and having quick access to a defibrillator – along with the knowledge of how to perform CPR – can significantly increase the chances of survival. In a bid to boost community safety, Derventio is also encouraging our staff to complete CPR training using BHF’s free online tool, RevivR.

The RevivR training takes just 15 minutes and can be done from home using a mobile device or computer. Take 15 minutes to learn CPR today: https://www.bhf.org.uk/revivr
