Location: South West

We’re now looking for an exceptional Housing & Support Operations Manager to help lead our South-West services.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational manager who is passionate about people, committed to high professional standards and motivated by making a genuine difference.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Service, you will provide day-to-day operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of Housing and Support Services.

You will lead and develop Team Leaders and frontline employees, ensuring services consistently deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred support that meets contractual, regulatory and organisational expectations.

You will oversee operational performance, safeguarding, workforce planning, quality assurance, compliance and continuous improvement, while creating an environment where employees feel supported, challenged and able to thrive.

Most importantly, you will help ensure that residents receive outstanding services that enable them to move towards greater independence.

You’ll have experience of leading housing, supported housing or related services and be confident managing people, improving performance and building positive relationships with commissioners, partner agencies and colleagues.

Professional Practice

This role operates within Derventio Housing Trust’s Professional Practice and Leadership Framework and falls within the scope of the Social Housing Competence and Conduct Standard.

The successful candidate will demonstrate high standards of professional competence, ethical leadership and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience of managing housing, supported housing or related services.
  • Experience of leading and developing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, compliance and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyse performance information and drive service improvement.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and housing management systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
