Growing Lives participants enjoy tour of Pride Park Stadium
15 Growing Lives participants visited Pride Park Stadium where they enjoyed a tour of the grounds and found out about the services delivered by Derby County Community Trust.
The visit started with a Communi-tea session at Harrison’s Hub. Participants met other attendees, enjoyed hot drinks and soup and learnt about the regular activities on offer at the hub – which include social activities, a knitting group, mental health support and community meals.
This was followed by a tour around the grounds, which gave a fascinating look behind the scenes at the home of the Rams.
Here are some comments from participants about the day:
I‘ve been to Pride Park over 200 times and NEVER got to experience some of the things I experienced today, JUST FANTASTIC.
We all really enjoyed ourselves, great day and the guy that showed us round was really great.
I’m not a big football person but it was really interesting, and we had the soup and a roll before the man showed us around, I even got a big box of Jammie dodgers when we left to bring back to Growing Lives.
Thank you for sorting that out, I really enjoyed the day at Pride Park. It was great to see behind the scenes.
God, I didn’t realise how big it was!!
Thank you to Derby County Community Trust for organising this enjoyable day out.
