Growing Lives Tutor (Ilkeston)


Based at our Ilkeston site

We are looking for someone with drive, energy and empathy to work with some of the most disadvantaged people in our society, directly delivering tutoring and support. The Growing Lives project aims to SPARK* disadvantaged people into taking control of their lives and become positive and active members of their communities. *SPARK: Support, Participate, Assets, Respect, Knowledge

You will be able to appropriately lead and supervise teams of participants and ensure individual and activity risk assessments are considered, and health and safe work practices are adhered to at all times.

Contribute to key outputs providing a range of activities and workshop sessions to promote healthy lifestyles, home and life skills and working towards independent living including sustainability of tenancies and being ready to enter the working environment.

You will also assist in transport of service users from pick up locations.

  • Remuneration packages commensurate with level of experience
  • 24 hours a week, 8 hours per day, however, full time post of 40 hours per week considered
  • All candidates must be prepared to undergo a DBS check
  • A valid driving licence is essential for this position
